Supported by KBR, the Hopestar Foundation, the Dogwood Trust, and the North Carolina Maternal Health Funders Collaborative, Nurture NC is leading the way in reforming policies to ensure that every mother, regardless of location or circumstance, has access to quality care.

One of Nurture NC’s key strengths is its multisector collaboration. By bringing together senior leadership from government, healthcare systems, professional associations, insurance providers, academia, philanthropy, and private business, the initiative fosters a unified approach to maternal health. This diverse coalition ensures that the solutions proposed are not only evidence-based but also comprehensive, addressing the issue from multiple angles.

In its initial two years, Nurture NC is zeroing in on three transformative focus areas:
